Explore the Trails at Arden

Family bike rides, morning jogs with the neighborhood running club, birdwatching and picnics are just a few of the things awaiting residents on the expertly mapped trails at Arden, Freehold Communities’ master-planned community in Palm Beach County. With over 20 miles of trails throughout the community, there’s always a new adventure, friend or pastime to discover right around the bend!

Stay Connected

Nearly every home at Arden backs up to a park, greenway, or one of the nature trails that weave through the neighborhoods and serve to connect residents with nature and each other. These neighborhood trails make it easy to navigate the community and access amenities. You can meander down to your neighbors’ house for a chat on their front porch, take the kids to the neighborhood park for a playdate, or warm up your muscles on your way to the state-of-the-art Fitness Center.

Have an Adventure!

Arden’s expansive trail system includes ten different expertly mapped trails, stretching over 20 miles that are just begging to be explored. One of the longest trails at Arden, the Ridge Trail, is approximately 3.3 miles long and wraps around the tree-lined edges of the community. This quiet, shaded trail connects to almost every other trail in Arden and has plenty of trail heads along the way so you can access it from nearly anywhere in the community. If you’re going on a casual Sunday afternoon stroll or quick walk with your four-legged friend, there are also shorter trail options like the Arrowhead and Wandering Willow trails, which are both 2.1 miles long and feature neighborhood parks, picnic areas and easy access to Arden Lake.

Lake Views

At the heart of Arden is the dazzling mile-long Arden Lake with sweeping lake vistas, shady pocket parks and trail loops long enough to run a 5K around. The 3-mile-long Arden Lake Loop Trail hugs the banks of the lake, providing unobstructed views of the sparkling water and passing kayakers, and access to multiple picnic and wildlife viewing areas along the way. The 4.8-mile-long Arden Lake Outer Trail follows a similar but wider path around Arden Lake before heading towards the site of a future school and park along Southern Blvd.

Kayaking and Canoeing

If you’re more comfortable with paddles than pedals, you’ll be happy to know that not all of Arden’s trails are on land! The Arden Lake Blueway is a 3.6-mile-long aquatic trail around Arden Lake that starts and finishes at the boat launch near the community Clubhouse. No need to load all your gear in the car and drive anywhere. Kayakers and canoers can enjoy their favorite pastime without ever leaving the community.
