Eat Fresh, Live Well at Arden

With rows of homegrown produce and locally sourced items, one of the best places to indulge in healthful treats is at a local farmer’s market. With the hot season in Florida just around the corner, your chances to indulge in amazing food from the area are coming to an end – so take advantage while you still can! There are a number of markets near the unique master-planned community of Arden. We’ve rounded up a list of local farmer’s markets in the area. One of them is bound to become your favorite.

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket

Open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Located on the scenic West Palm Beach Waterfront, this market is the area’s first green market and has grown to more than 80 vendors. Shop for local produce, plants, exotic flowers and herbs, plus baked goods, gourmet foods, teas and coffee. Parking is free in the Banyan Parking and Evernia city garages during market hours. The GreenMarket is dog-friendly and offers free activities for kids. The market also features live music, unlimited mimosas for $10, plus plentiful green space and seating. Cooking Light magazine named the West Palm Beach GreenMarket “The Best Greenmarket in Florida” in their listing of America’s 50 Best Farmer’s Markets, May 2015.

Farmer’s Daughter Garden Center

Palm Beach Gardens Green Market

Palm Beach Gardens Green Market literally puts the “green” in shopping at this market and cultural event featuring food, art and entertainment. Now in its 15th year of operation, the rain-or-shine event offers fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey, homemade breads, donuts, pies, cheeses, sauces and handmade crafts.

Enjoy a leisurely Saturday shopping for the freshest produce while supporting area vendors. The Green Market at Wellington features a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with local favorites like flavorful coffee and fresh-made cider doughnuts. Visitors also can peruse booths of local shops and merchants with a unique selection of artists and crafters selling jewelry and other handicrafts. Kids can enjoy Scott’s Place, a state-of-the-art, barrier-free playground designed to meets the needs of all children.

RPB Market and Bazaar

Shop and listen to live music under shaded walkways in this open-air market, located in Veterans Park, home to beautiful waterfalls. Besides organic fruits and vegetables, the market showcases beautiful potted plants, herbs, spices, pastries and desserts, plus a unique selection of jewelry and artisan-crafted items. There is free parking, and a continuous shuttle service operates from Village Hall/Lindsay Ewing and Veterans Park.
