Arden Resident Spotlight: Jonathan Robles
Arden, the award-winning South Florida agrihood, is home to hundreds of families connected by a strong sense of community and wellness-focused lifestyles. We sat down with Arden resident Jonathan Robles, to learn what makes the Arden community so unique.
Q: Why did you move to Arden?
Jonathan: I moved to Arden in March of 2019 with my wife and two children. We were looking for a new home in South Florida to raise our kids and toured so many places, but we kept coming back to Arden. Growing up, I was surrounded by these family-oriented communities, and that is exactly what we’ve found at Arden. By moving here, we’ve added more members to our immediate family.
Q: Which amenities do you enjoy using the most?
Jonathan: I love the fitness center up at the Arden Lakehouse. We also enjoy spending time by the pool there as well. Our son especially loves playing at the soccer field with his friends when he isn’t in school.
Q: What do you do with your farm share from the community’s five-acre farm?
Jonathan: I love to cook, and receiving the farm share every month allows me to try new fruits and vegetables and experiment in my kitchen. There was one day last year when we had extra jalapeños in our basket, and after dinner, we decided to make fresh jalapeño margaritas. They were so good that we invited our neighbors over to enjoy them with us. It’s been a great way to bond with other parents on our block!
Q: What community events do you enjoy going to?
Jonathan: We go to every single event at Arden when we can. My favorite is the Arden pool party. All of the kids are playing, there’s a DJ by the pool, and food trucks are parked outside. It’s so amazing to see kids and adults having great time and getting to know each other. My daughter loved the Dinosaurs vs. Unicorns event a few years back, and my son loved the Nerf Wars event that the Lifestyle Director put on during Spring Break this year.
Q: Tell us about your home.
Jonathan: We live in a single-story, Spanish-style home by Ryan Homes. When we moved in, we were able to customize the house and really make it ours. My favorite part about our home is our patio. We extended and enclosed it, so we can host BBQs with our friends in the agrihood and our kids can play in the backyard.
Q: If you had to sum up your experience living in Arden in a sentence or two, what would you say?
Jonathan: You have to love where you live. It doesn’t matter which home you buy, but if you’re looking for a new place to call home, you’ll love Arden.
