Arden Events: July 2022

Here at Arden, community is everything. Residents come together over their mutual love for healthy living, but it’s the close-knit community that truly elevates it. To strengthen the Arden community, the agrihood’s full-time Lifestyle Director, Mike Herman, invites families and individuals to join in fun events around the agrihood.

“Spending time together with your neighbors is crucial to foster supportive communities like ours,” says Mike. “July was another month full of fun events for everyone. I can’t wait for residents to see what we’ve got planned for August!”

Freedom Fest: Golf Cart & Bike Parade – July 2

Families celebrated Independence Day at Arden’s Freedom Fest.

We started out the month of July with a community golf cart and bike parade to celebrate Independence Day. Residents went big and decorated golf carts, bikes, and wagons in patriotic shades of red, white, and blue. After the parade, residents joined us on the Event Lawn to enjoy local food trucks, circus performers, a live DJ, lawn games, and a spectacular pool party. It was great seeing the different ways our residents showed their pride for the holiday.

New Homeowner Social – July 12

This event brought new Arden residents together to meet each other, socialize, and ask questions about the agrihood. We loved seeing our newest residents enjoy some refreshments and get acquainted with the community and their neighbors.

Mutt Strutt – July 16

The neighborhood’s furry friends dressed up in their finest fashions for our Mutt Strutt on July 16th. Dogs strutted their stuff, showing off for the residents who attended with the top dogs earning fun prizes.

Capture the Flag – July 20

Kids in the agrihood teamed up to play capture the flag.

The neighborhood kids met on the Event Lawn for a morning to capture the flag. Working in teams, kids guarded their team base while trying to claim the other team’s flag. We loved seeing the youngest members of our neighborhood bond through such a schoolyard favorite.

Operation Finally Home Groundbreaking Ceremony – July 21

The Arden community surprised US Army Staff Sergeant Jose Jimenez and his family with the news they would be receiving a brand new home in the agrihood.

The Arden community was thrilled to join Lennar and Operation Finally Home in surprising U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Jose Jimenez and his family with the news that their family would be receiving a brand-new home in the agrihood. Jose and his family were greeted by Freedom Riders and their new neighbors and were able to break ground on their new homesite. We are so excited to welcome the Jimenez family when they move in this winter!

Tropical Fruit Tasting – July 23

Arden residents got to try a variety of tropical fruits on the Event Lawn.

On Saturday, July 23rd, we enjoyed the 2022 version of the Tropical Fruit Tasting, and we had lots of smiling faces come out to sample some fun and unique fruits! From 9:00 – 11:00 am, Arden families joined us on the Event Lawn to sink their teeth into mangoes, dragon fruit, oranges, and other refreshing tropical fruits.

Food Truck Pop-Up – July 29

Arden residents enjoyed local food trucks with neighbors.

On the final Friday of July, we hosted some fantastic food truck vendors for Arden residents to enjoy! Residents stopped by to grab dinner from local food truck vendors and spent a nice night with neighbors. We were thrilled to invite TMI Food Truck, That’s Amore Pizza, Krazy Cuban, and Monarca Mexican to the agrihood!

OneBlood Arden Blood Drive – July 30

To close out the month, we worked with OneBlood to host a blood drive and help replenish limited blood supplies. Residents answered the call for help and gave the gift of life by donating their own blood. We were so glad to watch the community come together in the name of helping others.
